This waterjet cutting bronze system combines rigid construction, precision engineering, and intelligent control for superior cutting accuracy and efficiency. Designed for industrial applications, it features a large-span gantry, fully enclosed protection, and optional 5-axis cutting for complex geometries. With ±0.02mm repeatability and speeds up to 20,000mm/min, it delivers fast, reliable results in metal, stone, composites, and more.
FEDJET's abrasive waterjet technology circumvents these limitations entirely through its cold-cutting mechanism:
Zero Heat-Affected Zone (HAZ): Waterjet cutting generates no thermal energy at the cutting line, eliminating material deformation, heat discoloration, edge hardening, or micro-cracking in sensitive bronze grades (such as aluminum bronze, phosphor bronze, or silicon bronze).
Immunity to Optical Reflectivity: Unlike fiber laser cutting machines that suffer optics damage or severe energy drop-off when exposed to highly reflective copper alloys, FEDJET waterjets use mechanical micro-abrasives propelled by ultra-high-pressure water (up to 420MPa/60,000 PSI) to cut cleanly regardless of material optical properties.
Exceptional Thick-Plate Capabilities: Capable of slicing through thick bronze blocks up to 150mm (6 inches) or more while maintaining tight tolerances and smooth edge finishes (Ra 3.2 – Ra 1.6), reducing or eliminating the need for secondary CNC machining.
Intelligent Taper-Free 5-Axis Precision: Equipped with optional 5-axis cutting head technology, the machine automatically calculates and compensates for water stream taper, delivering perfect 90° straight bevels or complex bevel cuts for pre-welding preparation.
Material Savings & Eco-Friendly Process: Featuring a narrow kerf width and multi-head setup potential, operators can nest parts closely to minimize costly bronze material scrap. The process produces zero hazardous airborne fumes, toxic smoke, or slag.
